Some of you have been asking when the much-anticipated EE 2.0 will be released. Well, the news from EllisLab is that they’re nearing the end of the developer preview and will soon be concentrating on the next part of the release phase, the semi-public beta. No official full release date yet, but I would imagine it will be sometime this summer. Watch this space.

The folks at EllisLab recently announced a nice new feature in the latest build of EE, to boost performance on high traffic sites. The new “Tracking Preferences” feature allows dynamic or default disabling of tracking, to free up MySQL.

I’m delighted to announce I’ve been accepted as a member of the ExpressionEngine Pro Network of developers. EE is a great product, and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop even more EE websites in the near future.
