One more quick report before the afternoon session. WiFi is patchy here, so got to be brief. Big news out of the way first: ExpressionEngine 2.0 is set for launch 1st December. Already been playing with the beta release and very impressive it is too.

Well I arrived in Leiden around 4:30pm all set for the Thu/Fri EECI conference. What a stunning place Leiden is. Don’t think I’ve seen one car yet—2 wheels definitely better than one here. Why isn’t Manchester like this? Anyway, looking forward to tomorrow. Stay tuned for the inside track on EECI 2009.

DesignKarma will be attending October’s EECI2009—the first ExpressionEngine & CodeIgniter Conference, in Leiden, Netherlands. It’s a great opportunity to rub shoulders with the ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter communities, attend expert workshops, as well as build relationships with developers from all over the World. As one of the UK’s few ExpressionEngine Pro Network Developers, DesignKarma is excited to have been asked to participate in the ExpressionEngine 2.0 Phase 1 Beta program. This is a great opportunity to examine the much anticipated release first-hand; as well as provide input and help shape the finished product. Watch this space for an official launch date.

Some of you have been asking when the much-anticipated EE 2.0 will be released. Well, the news from EllisLab is that they’re nearing the end of the developer preview and will soon be concentrating on the next part of the release phase, the semi-public beta. No official full release date yet, but I would imagine it will be sometime this summer. Watch this space.
