I like simple. That’s why my current approach to designing and building “adaptive” or “responsive” ExpressionEngine sites avoids add-ons, subdomains, redirects or Javascript. Moreover, I’ve been focussing on delivering a truly adaptive experience that goes beyond CSS media queries. There’s been a lot of talk lately about ExpressionEngine and SEO (search engine optimisation), and I thought I’d share something simple that’s been working quite well for my EE clients for some time now. The objective is to give them more granular control over individual pages; and allow them to experiment and fine-tune over time.

EEUK11 – the UK’s first ever national ExpressionEngine conference took place Friday 26th August. It was an affordable one-day conference including seven guest speakers and over 80 delegates, with the aim of bringing the community together to share and learn.
